This was a sensitive development whereas we had to demolish the old club which was embedded into local history. We ensured we had community involvement and renamed the development after the old club. The site was contaminated in the old car park and the building contained large amounts of Asbestos. Our group company Hewitson Limited manged the whole process efficiently for Oaktree Living. After remediation, we then constructed 8 x 2 Bed bungalows for Livin Housing as there was a high demand in the area for bungalows. These Bungalows were constructed to the new building Regulations 2023 before they were compulsory. We installed Air Source heat pumps, filled the wall cavities with 150mm insulation and built to M4(2) standards. There was well over 50 applicants per bungalow as these were built to our usual high standard and energy efficient.
